In fact, It was x64 version now. because the Blumind is work on the “.Net framework”, so, it will be x86 when it run on x86 platform, it will be x64 when on x64 platform, the real x64 program.

I really like blumind interface and feature, it’s just right to do mind mapping, with nifty feature – multiple chart function I can really organize information efficiently.

3. Lock or Presentation mode
(and personally “Menu” bottom with a design match with whole appearance) .

One question. I use “topics” as subject headers and the “notes” feature for more detailed information. I wish there was a way of setting default properties for the “notes” – in particular, the font and size. Or is there a way I can easily copy the “notes” properties? If not, can you please add default settings to the next version – especially for the “notes” feature?

Hi, the copy “notes” feature is good. But it does not resolve my problem.
It is the formatting of “notes” which I need to control. Even when I copy a note with your new feature it does not copy the “Property”. For example, I want to set the overall appearance of my Blumind project in “Options/Appearance” as Font: 8pt. But I want all my notes in 11pt. So either you can provide a way of setting a default font size for notes, or… when you copy and paste a note, it should copy the text and also copy the “Property” of that text.

thanks, the ribbon make a rich toolbar, provide much more buttons and others. blumind has a simple toolbar indeed, if use the ribbon, the property box maybe move to there. it will need more time and art-works(icons), that’s maybe hard to me. and I think the ribbon will make the “Client Area” to small, if there is a smaller area to view and edit the chart, maybe not good. so I have not idea for this yet.

Bluminde has a problem with input in Armenian (unicode).
When I type directly in the program, i see ????????-s, but when I paste from clipboard, it works correct.
Is there any patch for this issue?
I am sorry, I have install a Armenian IME to test in my Chinese Win7. and I type something by keyborad, it’s looks like good. Hey, just a friendly suggestion- could you make Blumind Portable?
I recall using previous versions, where all the settings were stored in the same folder as the .exe itself- I’d like to use Blumind on my USB at school, but it leaves its settings in AppData, making it less portable and leaving traces behind.
Could this be built into a button for future releases? Could the progress bar widget calculate percentages between min and max. Could we have the option to display percent or value?
The mind maps appear fine in screen view, but in print preview the text does not wrap so the charts cannot be used by printing.
Is text wrapping in each box not possible?

Very interested in your program for my students. I use MindManager but it’s expensive and heavy. One thing I do enjoy about it is the ability to link to folders so I can click a folder node and open the folder in explorer. I can also drag files in to link to things as hyperlinks.
I am very impressed with BlueMind. A fully portable, very pretty application with great care taken to ensure easy of use. There is one area I would like to suggest improvements, Drag and Drop.
I would like to drag files from explorer and drop them directly into the map. This would create a subtopic with a hyperlink to the document (a relative path please – to maintain portability).
The normal functionality for opening a BMD could be preserved when a file is dropped onto the title or tab bar. This would allow the new functionality to nest BMD files as hyperlinks if required.
My reason for asking is as a method of constructing complex documents in Word. Using the Insert > File > Link mechanism to “include” the parts into the whole, please note you have to edit the field codes to remove the Drive:path information to have a truly portable solution (http://daiya.mvps.org/includetext.htm ).

Hi — love your program and thanks for writing. Is it possible to left justify text? When I use the tree chart format it looks great on the screen but in print preview mode the text is centered and not word wrapped to fit within the box.
If you have install by the blumind installer, you can find a menu item called “Uninstall” in Start Menu (Start>Programs>Blumind), and can find it directly in “Program files\Blumind” folder too. anyway, you can delete the whole “blumind” folder.
Be aware that your software at cnet is wrapped with an cnet installer that changes various properties of the installers computer and which suggests your product has caused this.

i find sth uncomvinient in the soft and hope it could become better.
1)when a subtab was created, i can’t move it to anywhere i hope.
2)while only a subtab wasexist, it always at the left of root, my habbits was it push to the right.
3) the hypelink is unconvinient when drop a file on the node, it can’t auto generate a link to it. Howvever, it just told me the filetype unmatched.

One feature that I would really like would be the ability to add a timer/reminder to a node. Please consider adding it.

if you want move a topic to another on, just drag it to there. if you want change topics order, just select the topic you want to move it, and press “Ctrl+Up”/”Ctrl+Down” to move it.

1. apply a theme. push the “theme” button in the toolbar, and select a theme in the dropdown menu.
2. format painter. select a node that you what copy theme from it. and press the “format painter” button in the toolbar, and click the target node, now the color theme is copy to the target node. (double click the format painter button can hold it to apply to multi-nodes)
3. click the blank area in the chart to select the chart, and edit the properties in the property grid. the “Node Back Color”/”Node Fore Color” will apply to all nodes but the root node.
I just had one feedback. While it is ok to layout automatically, it would be great if the lines are kept without intersecting – on a very large mindmap. You may have to keep the nodes farther as the number of subtopics increase.
awesome program! have worked with at least 5 online programs and torn them apart searching for features, and let me tell you that my search has ended today.
your program is on my machine now, and I am all smiles after taking it on test ride.
few suggestions for new features:
- insert pictures
- numbering options on nodes (1, 1.a., 1.a.i, etc…)
- ability to apply design of node to entire branch
There are a few hickups while printing.
Print preview > Print settings – look for borders, click OK, Screen refreshes, open Print settings and seee that the border values changed down more than 50%.
You can repeat this till 0 sized borders. If you really need to change them, its nearly impossible.
On my system the print setting dialog also contains (in the field source) some asian characters/letters. The printer is a EPSON AL-CX16NF (Color Laser)
One feature request tho, the ability to print on multiple sheets.
A larger mind map might fit on a A4 paper, but is very small/unreadable. So I would like to print the map on 2 A4 papers ( a on a A3 sheet) May be more.
I really like the feel of Blumind. I mistakenly thought it was portable and I could use it on Windows at home and Mac at work. Must have confused you with another mind map.
Any plans to make it work on the Mac too? It’s residing on a flash drive on my key chain.
I think a couple of great features that might convinvce me to use Blumind more would be a document-level setting for default Custom Width, making Custom Width one of the properties that’s transferred by the format painter, and the ability to pan the view by clicking and dragging on the background without having to switch to the hand tool (right-click and drag would be OK, too).
Anyway, great program and I like its small size and portability!
I just discovered the feature that allows me to hold the [Shift] key to temporarily switch from the arrow to the hand cursor. That takes care of one of my suggestions. Cool!

I will try import/export them as normal text (formats will be lost).

I have one desperate plea for you. The thing I loved most about blumind is the fact that it was -truly- portable! It saved options.xml inside of the /blumind folder. Now it saves it in C:\Users\bluminduser\AppData\Local\Blumind
I guess it’s misleading downloading the portable package only to find out the new release saves in user application folder
Could you possibly give the user the option of “Save settings in Blumind folder”?

Could you allow us to TURN OFF the “recent files” that are saved in options.xml? Some of us are very security conscious and would like that option.
Love Blumind. But the cursor keys don’t take the current layout into account. Eg, if I use the Logic Chart (Right) option, the left arrow key moves the cursor to the right in my chart, and the right arrow key moves it to the left.

2- faltan opciones de formato relacionadas con la forma de ordenar las ramas del mapa, p.e. a la derecha, a la izquierda, radial, etc.
El esfuerzo de los creadores es bueno, pero podrían eneiquecer aún más lo relativo a formatos de diseño.

I’m an ex-Mac user and I missed the simplicity of MindNode. The closest I came to MindNode on Windows was Xmind but it was too bulky. Today, while browsing HowToGeek, I came across your software and was pleasantly surprised how nice designed it was. Thank you so much!

Hi Tony, The “Progress” property of progress bar can be set, It is a percentage of completion, from 1 to 100. (select a progress bar, and edit its property in the property grid at right-bottom of window.)
Beautiful software, the clean, calm interface complements the function quite well. I also love that it’s portable. The keyboard shortcuts are intuitive and practical. Respect.
A couple of suggestions:
* Ability to hide the (+) and (-) symbols from the mind map. Those are not needed in read-only views such as print or bitmap.
* Ability to drag all selected objects to a different node. Currently it drags the focused one, regardless if there’s more than one selected or not.
* Ability to modify border width
* “Ray” layout, where the main node (“star”) is in the center and straight links to other nodes are distributed symmetrically like sun rays. sub-nodes might either form separate “stars” or be directed outside (like a tree but in all directions)
* Organic tree layout, that looks a bit like an actual tree (with not so uniformly placement). This would look much like an organisation chart with curved lines where sub-nodes are not on the same line/column but are distributed slightly around the parent node.
* Choice of square(/ straight) or curved lines for each layout
* Choice of square(/ straight) or curved Link lines
Obviously lot’s of different layouts might be an overkill but some ideas might be worth exploring.
A couple of suggestions that might be out of the scope of your project. Or they might distance the software from the current purpose (mind maps) and add clutter:
* Multiple main nodes in the same map. Like multiple mind maps on a single field (with ability to add linking lines)
* A flowchart tool similar to blumind would be useful (most are ugly or with too many features, just like mindmap software before blumind came along )
John and I have similar taste for Blumind. We demand these features be available inside Blumind (like my post last June 29, 2011) because we feel that this mindmapping software is outstanding.

Just think about those ideas and how would they fit inside the software. Blumind going bloated with too much features is the last thing I want. All features should be carefully considered and integrated so they won’t get in the way. Also, don’t burn yourself out.
If you didn’t quite understand my layout proposals then feel free to ask and I’ll try to make a couple of pictures (mock ups) for you.
Different visualizations (node layouts) work for different people. I believe it helps to have several possibilities to structure the same information.
For me the software is already very useful. It helps me think and write my ideas down quickly and efficiently. My suggestions aren’t necessarily short-term.
*Wishlist for the incoming updates and future releases:
1) Another set of icons (i.e. multi-colored folders)
2) Text Formatting options for “Add Remarks” (i.e., Bold, Italic, Underine, Font Color, etc.)
3) Spellchecker
4) Auto-sort (A-Z and Z-A)
5) Ability to apply a wallpaper for the background (not just from the main menu).
6) Ability to switch to different opened maps by pressing number keys 1 (prev) and 2 (next) like one using in Opera browser.
7) Optimize the software so it will not eat a lot of memory up to 70+ megs sometimes.
So far, Blumind has been serving me a lot of help and it keeps me on being hungry for the next updates. Very ambitious and intuitive portable software.
I’m still not a user of Blumind because I can’t read maps generated by MindMap… I currently use Cayra (discontinued opensource) who has the ability to open .mmap files!
Here (http://www.mediafire.com/?ea77aiqtlimqgt9) you can find the application in .rar format, virus free… maybe you can import Cayra’s filters to Blumind. I hope so because I think your software is one of the best mind mapping software and I would be very happy using it (every day).
ps. why don’t “we” “develop” a new standard format for mindmapping softwares? “mxml” o “mmxml”… I don’t know anything about anything but the idea is not bad, is it?
Yes, I agree. we need a standard format. Blumind still only supports mm, and thinkingexpress still only supports mm and mmap. Do you know ithought? it supports 7 formats. You can try ithought or thinkingexpress to open mmap. thinkingexpress is very tiny, only 800k, one exe file, no dll, no installation. but it does not support imindmap, which is my favorite. And ithought is only for iphone and ipad.
One thing that I always found out missing was the ability of Blumind’s Text Formatting options for Addding Notes. I wanted to access Bold, Italic, Font Size, and Font Color to customize the way I look at the text. Secondly, a “Create a Table” feature inside Add Notes is also essential when dealing with To-Do List, etc.
Blumind is very ambitious and it has been revealing its potentials now little by little.

Blumind is *FANTASTIC*, I absolutely love the way I can create a mindmap without using the mouse, it’s so fast to use that I can create the map almost at the same speed I’m thinking which is perfect.
My feedback is… Could you create a flowchart application with the same sort of keyboard control? ALL of the flowchart applications available are too complex and require Drag&Drop which is far too slow. Blumind is simple, keep it simple!
Being able to create simple decision flowcharts using a similar keyboard interface to BluMind would be perfect, yet sadly such a program does not exist

This current version does not fail me, and you have proved that you can push the potential of Blumind. I am having a good time now with the Scroll Mode by holding the Shift button, and the Enter key button to go to the next line in adding Note ^_^
However, I found out that I was always looking to format the text inside Notes such as Bold, Italic, and Font Color. I utilize Blumind not just for brainstorming/mindmapping but also as a Note-taking app in sync with Dropbox to prevent file corruption ^_^

I thought that updates will automatically appear once Blumind has been launched. But it did not hindered the growth of this app ^_^
Currently, I checked the updates manually and installed the latest version and really it answered some of the features and upgrades that I wanted to be included in this release such as the remake of the logo, hyperlink, custom sort, and appearance of note when hovered on it.

Can the “Scroll Mode” or the Hand tool be accessed easily by just dragging on the empty surface? I feel that it can benefit the users more flexibility in workflows once this feature has been impemented. Or preferably, assign a keyboard shortcut for the switching between Select and Scroll modes.

So far, among all MindMapping software out there (and I have been tried and tested plenty of them), Blumind have already caught my heart as it helped me reveal my hidden abilities and skills, generate out-of-the-box ideas, and many more. I really appreciate its usability + functionality + simplicity nature. Moreover, it is super portable!
Currently, I am working on my Editorial article and design for the incoming release of our campus newspaper in college and Blumind is the one that assisted me on generating creative workflows and wireframes for this publication.

dragging empty area to scroll? but there is a problem. It’s reserved for selection function. mouse down in empty area and drag a rectangle selection box, and objects in the box will be select when mouse up. so that’s the reason for two mode(Select/Scroll). about the keyboard shortcuts, the “Ctrl” key is used for multi-selection, maybe the “shift” can be use, or middle mouse button?
“Add Note” cannot produce another paragraph using “Enter” button. It just run horizontally like a tooltip. Can you please fix this? This is a great portable app and I would like to add other features that are not available in this software ^_^
I’m using Blumind 1.3 portable. I created a chart (logic right) and was changing some of the properties when the chart suddenly shrank to a small size and the text in all the nodes disappeared. I cannot seem to recover from this, can you explain what might have happened? Despite this issue I think Blumind has a lot of potential. Thanks.

Hi, the copy “notes” feature is good. But it does not resolve my problem.
It is the formatting of “notes” which I need to control. Even when I copy a note with your new feature it does not copy the “Property”. For example, I want to set the overall appearance of my Blumind project in “Options/Appearance” as Font: 8pt. But I want all my notes in 11pt. So either you can provide a way of setting a default font size for notes, or… when you copy and paste a note, it should copy the text and also copy the “Property” of that text.

thanks, the ribbon make a rich toolbar, provide much more buttons and others. blumind has a simple toolbar indeed, if use the ribbon, the property box maybe move to there. it will need more time and art-works(icons), that’s maybe hard to me. and I think the ribbon will make the “Client Area” to small, if there is a smaller area to view and edit the chart, maybe not good. so I have not idea for this yet.

When I type directly in the program, i see ????????-s, but when I paste from clipboard, it works correct.

5.提供一组大图标（宽高256或128左右），即使与原软件自带图标一样也行。现在好看的mind map大图标不好找。而且在大屏幕上，因为显示器分辨率较高，图标看起来很费眼的。

另外，考虑了下，自由拖动也不见得有多好，对初学者来说满麻烦的。
1.5绿色版的自定义主题无法保存外观属性，边框宽度，线条宽度设置为2，但始终为1，字体设置无效，设置为微软雅黑，微软简中圆等等，但字体不保存。
另外还是横线问题，默认为圆角框，node的style属性如何设置为默认为3呢，能设置就达到我的目的了。

blumind使用了下发现很好，主要是体积小而且便于携带（我用U盘带着方便）
有几点用着不是很方便的地方，希望作者能改进
1.主题支持拖动。（有些要求过分了，主题能拖动会需要太大的改动了，我也开发过软件，知道你是用规则自动生成的方式做的）
2.这个改进可以有的，就是 主题-属性-外观-形状里的形状可否更改默认形状，个人比较喜欢下划线类型的，但是一个一个改好麻烦的，而看着那个圆角方框没灵感。如果可以自定义默认形状的话，我想算是一种很大的改进了。
3.既然blumind支持多国语言版了，那么那个快速帮助可否也出个多国语言版的，方便英语不好的人使用嘛

The mind maps appear fine in screen view, but in print preview the text does not wrap so the charts cannot be used by printing.

if there is only one subtopic, it will alway on the left side of center-topic. or you can switch the layout-type of chart to “Logic Chart(Right )”. or I will provide a new feature later for this.

But, it has some bug. (ver: 1.3.21.1)
When I edit some property number In property edit window,
“Invalid Property value” error is appeared.
When I paste some number In property edit window, it works well.
(It may be related with font.)
Very interested in your program for my students. I use MindManager but it’s expensive and heavy. One thing I do enjoy about it is the ability to link to folders so I can click a folder node and open the folder in explorer. I can also drag files in to link to things as hyperlinks.
Is this something you plan on doing?
I use Blumind as an index for code modules (with Hyperlink Property) , Is Possible to use in the Hyperlink text the text of the node?. Tank you.

I am very impressed with BlueMind. A fully portable, very pretty application with great care taken to ensure easy of use. There is one area I would like to suggest improvements, Drag and Drop.
I would like to drag files from explorer and drop them directly into the map. This would create a subtopic with a hyperlink to the document (a relative path please – to maintain portability).
The normal functionality for opening a BMD could be preserved when a file is dropped onto the title or tab bar. This would allow the new functionality to nest BMD files as hyperlinks if required.
My reason for asking is as a method of constructing complex documents in Word. Using the Insert > File > Link mechanism to “include” the parts into the whole, please note you have to edit the field codes to remove the Drive:path information to have a truly portable solution (http://daiya.mvps.org/includetext.htm ).
INCLUDETEXT “Chapter1.doc”
Each of my projects would be contained in single directory containing the master word document and all the “included” files.
More importantly I would have BlueMind to help organize my thoughts, add notes and monitor progress – brilliant.

Hi — love your program and thanks for writing. Is it possible to left justify text? When I use the tree chart format it looks great on the screen but in print preview mode the text is centered and not word wrapped to fit within the box.

If you have install by the blumind installer, you can find a menu item called “Uninstall” in Start Menu (Start>Programs>Blumind), and can find it directly in “Program files\Blumind” folder too. anyway, you can delete the whole “blumind” folder.
Be aware that your software at cnet is wrapped with an cnet installer that changes various properties of the installers computer and which suggests your product has caused this.

Hi – was wondering how I go about customizing themes. I change one node and then the nodes following it are still grey.
there are several ways can be use:
1. apply a theme. push the “theme” button in the toolbar, and select a theme in the dropdown menu.
2. format painter. select a node that you what copy theme from it. and press the “format painter” button in the toolbar, and click the target node, now the color theme is copy to the target node. (double click the format painter button can hold it to apply to multi-nodes)
3. click the blank area in the chart to select the chart, and edit the properties in the property grid. the “Node Back Color”/”Node Fore Color” will apply to all nodes but the root node.

I just had one feedback. While it is ok to layout automatically, it would be great if the lines are kept without intersecting – on a very large mindmap. You may have to keep the nodes farther as the number of subtopics increase.

There are a few hickups while printing.
Print preview > Print settings – look for borders, click OK, Screen refreshes, open Print settings and seee that the border values changed down more than 50%.
You can repeat this till 0 sized borders. If you really need to change them, its nearly impossible.
On my system the print setting dialog also contains (in the field source) some asian characters/letters. The printer is a EPSON AL-CX16NF (Color Laser)
One feature request tho, the ability to print on multiple sheets.
A larger mind map might fit on a A4 paper, but is very small/unreadable. So I would like to print the map on 2 A4 papers ( a on a A3 sheet) May be more.

I really like the feel of Blumind. I mistakenly thought it was portable and I could use it on Windows at home and Mac at work. Must have confused you with another mind map.

I think a couple of great features that might convinvce me to use Blumind more would be a document-level setting for default Custom Width, making Custom Width one of the properties that’s transferred by the format painter, and the ability to pan the view by clicking and dragging on the background without having to switch to the hand tool (right-click and drag would be OK, too).
Anyway, great program and I like its small size and portability!
I just discovered the feature that allows me to hold the [Shift] key to temporarily switch from the arrow to the hand cursor. That takes care of one of my suggestions. Cool!

I have one desperate plea for you. The thing I loved most about blumind is the fact that it was -truly- portable! It saved options.xml inside of the /blumind folder. Now it saves it in C:\Users\bluminduser\AppData\Local\Blumind
I guess it’s misleading downloading the portable package only to find out the new release saves in user application folder
Could you possibly give the user the option of “Save settings in Blumind folder”?

Could you allow us to TURN OFF the “recent files” that are saved in options.xml? Some of us are very security conscious and would like that option.
Love Blumind. But the cursor keys don’t take the current layout into account. Eg, if I use the Logic Chart (Right) option, the left arrow key moves the cursor to the right in my chart, and the right arrow key moves it to the left.

Blumind es un software interesante ya que permite diseñar un mapa de ideas rápidamente, sin embargo algunas limitaciones que presenta son:
1- no permite grabar como imagen el mapa de ideas
2- faltan opciones de formato relacionadas con la forma de ordenar las ramas del mapa, p.e. a la derecha, a la izquierda, radial, etc.
El esfuerzo de los creadores es bueno, pero podrían eneiquecer aún más lo relativo a formatos de diseño.

I’m an ex-Mac user and I missed the simplicity of MindNode. The closest I came to MindNode on Windows was Xmind but it was too bulky. Today, while browsing HowToGeek, I came across your software and was pleasantly surprised how nice designed it was. Thank you so much!

Beautiful software, the clean, calm interface complements the function quite well. I also love that it’s portable. The keyboard shortcuts are intuitive and practical. Respect.
A couple of suggestions:
* Ability to hide the (+) and (-) symbols from the mind map. Those are not needed in read-only views such as print or bitmap.
* Ability to drag all selected objects to a different node. Currently it drags the focused one, regardless if there’s more than one selected or not.
* Ability to modify border width
* “Ray” layout, where the main node (“star”) is in the center and straight links to other nodes are distributed symmetrically like sun rays. sub-nodes might either form separate “stars” or be directed outside (like a tree but in all directions)
* Organic tree layout, that looks a bit like an actual tree (with not so uniformly placement). This would look much like an organisation chart with curved lines where sub-nodes are not on the same line/column but are distributed slightly around the parent node.
* Choice of square(/ straight) or curved lines for each layout
* Choice of square(/ straight) or curved Link lines
Obviously lot’s of different layouts might be an overkill but some ideas might be worth exploring.
A couple of suggestions that might be out of the scope of your project. Or they might distance the software from the current purpose (mind maps) and add clutter:
* Multiple main nodes in the same map. Like multiple mind maps on a single field (with ability to add linking lines)
* A flowchart tool similar to blumind would be useful (most are ugly or with too many features, just like mindmap software before blumind came along
)

No pressure
Just think about those ideas and how would they fit inside the software. Blumind going bloated with too much features is the last thing I want. All features should be carefully considered and integrated so they won’t get in the way. Also, don’t burn yourself out.
If you didn’t quite understand my layout proposals then feel free to ask and I’ll try to make a couple of pictures (mock ups) for you.
Different visualizations (node layouts) work for different people. I believe it helps to have several possibilities to structure the same information.
For me the software is already very useful. It helps me think and write my ideas down quickly and efficiently. My suggestions aren’t necessarily short-term.

*Wishlist for the incoming updates and future releases:
1) Another set of icons (i.e. multi-colored folders)
2) Text Formatting options for “Add Remarks” (i.e., Bold, Italic, Underine, Font Color, etc.)
3) Spellchecker
4) Auto-sort (A-Z and Z-A)
5) Ability to apply a wallpaper for the background (not just from the main menu).
6) Ability to switch to different opened maps by pressing number keys 1 (prev) and 2 (next) like one using in Opera browser.
7) Optimize the software so it will not eat a lot of memory up to 70+ megs sometimes.
So far, Blumind has been serving me a lot of help and it keeps me on being hungry for the next updates. Very ambitious and intuitive portable software.

I’m still not a user of Blumind because I can’t read maps generated by MindMap… I currently use Cayra (discontinued opensource) who has the ability to open .mmap files!
Here (http://www.mediafire.com/?ea77aiqtlimqgt9) you can find the application in .rar format, virus free… maybe you can import Cayra’s filters to Blumind. I hope so because I think your software is one of the best mind mapping software and I would be very happy using it (every day).
ps. why don’t “we” “develop” a new standard format for mindmapping softwares? “mxml” o “mmxml”… I don’t know anything about anything but the idea is not bad, is it?

Yes, I agree. we need a standard format. Blumind still only supports mm, and thinkingexpress still only supports mm and mmap. Do you know ithought? it supports 7 formats. You can try ithought or thinkingexpress to open mmap. thinkingexpress is very tiny, only 800k, one exe file, no dll, no installation. but it does not support imindmap, which is my favorite. And ithought is only for iphone and ipad.
One thing that I always found out missing was the ability of Blumind’s Text Formatting options for Addding Notes. I wanted to access Bold, Italic, Font Size, and Font Color to customize the way I look at the text. Secondly, a “Create a Table” feature inside Add Notes is also essential when dealing with To-Do List, etc.
Blumind is very ambitious and it has been revealing its potentials now little by little.

Blumind is *FANTASTIC*, I absolutely love the way I can create a mindmap without using the mouse, it’s so fast to use that I can create the map almost at the same speed I’m thinking which is perfect.
My feedback is… Could you create a flowchart application with the same sort of keyboard control? ALL of the flowchart applications available are too complex and require Drag&Drop which is far too slow. Blumind is simple, keep it simple!
Being able to create simple decision flowcharts using a similar keyboard interface to BluMind would be perfect, yet sadly such a program does not exist

Can I request some new set of icons for the next updates?
This current version does not fail me, and you have proved that you can push the potential of Blumind. I am having a good time now with the Scroll Mode by holding the Shift button, and the Enter key button to go to the next line in adding Note ^_^
However, I found out that I was always looking to format the text inside Notes such as Bold, Italic, and Font Color. I utilize Blumind not just for brainstorming/mindmapping but also as a Note-taking app in sync with Dropbox to prevent file corruption ^_^
Keep up the good work inca ^_^ Blumind is getting better and better.

2.有些思维还要考虑正反两个方面,比如就像if,else if,else if,else这样.
3.如上,由于思维不是定式,而是发散的.所以应该加入自定义添加常用形状(正方形,三角形,圆形,菱形等)做为主题的外观,并能任意拖动它们的位置,然后再与原有的主题连接.
4.实现以上功能应该不难,1)添加自定义的形状2)用户可以移动这个新主题到需要的位置3)用一根连线把新主题与相关主题做连接,允许添加多根连线.添加连线后,锁定新主题的相对位置.
5.这样可以用非常小的改动,将blumind的实用功能提升一个台阶.

Perhaps you assume people have the technical knowledge already and know what to do – maybe some do but many don’t. Great that it’s free but the whole process was a mystery to me without even minimal indication of what to do. Saying “It’s simple” is patronising. It’s only simple when you know, and I don’t, and you’re not telling me”
I also have no idea what to do. I know how to draw Mind Maps using paper and pencil but without a few guidelines, for me its hopeless.

在win7家用版上使用blumind，使用QQ输入法的时候：
在一个节点调整过输入法，再去输入下一个节点，然后输入法又变回默认EN了。也就是每次输入节点都要重新调整输入法。
用了一段时间后，好像又正常了。但重新打开以后又会出现相同的问题。
PS：软件很不错，自从有了blumind，我就抛弃了freemind。因为blumind太简单了，而且该有的功能都有，不该有的功能完全没有。
做出这么好的软件，真是谢谢了。
很高兴你能喜欢Blumind, 输入法的问题确实存在, 原因是操作系统和.Net框架的冲突, 超出了我能力掌控的范围, 暂时也没有完美的解决方法, 抱歉
如果不能输入中文(google pinyin)，那么双击编辑一个对象，在编辑状态下，文字上面点击右键，再点击“打开IME”，就可以用google pinyin了。
这是似乎是blumind或者是framework将google pinyin输入法彻底屏蔽所致。
我没有其他输入法，所以不知道其他输入法是否会被屏蔽。
这个方法成功了，建议推广！

I thought that updates will automatically appear once Blumind has been launched. But it did not hindered the growth of this app ^_^
Currently, I checked the updates manually and installed the latest version and really it answered some of the features and upgrades that I wanted to be included in this release such as the remake of the logo, hyperlink, custom sort, and appearance of note when hovered on it.
Thanks a lot inca, Blumind has a lot of potentials ^_^ I’m grateful that this app is portable and FREE!

软件非常棒.
有一个小问题, 当把鼠标放到含子菜单的项目上, 等显示出子菜单后再将鼠标移开, 此菜单项就会短暂消失一下.
还有个问题是选取多个项目托到上层节点时只有一个项目被移动, 其他的未被移动.
blumind已经实现了导图软件的基本功能，应该实现一些人无我有的功能。
比如 ：、
1老板键（任务栏和托盘区图标都隐藏）
2加密登陆
3鼠标拖入链接 （就像vstart那样）
我自己试了超过10种导图软件，基本都没有能完整实现这些功能。尽管是小细节，但若能做到，必定是优势。

Can the “Scroll Mode” or the Hand tool be accessed easily by just dragging on the empty surface? I feel that it can benefit the users more flexibility in workflows once this feature has been impemented. Or preferably, assign a keyboard shortcut for the switching between Select and Scroll modes.
For follow up, please fix the “Add Notes” please. ^_^

So far, among all MindMapping software out there (and I have been tried and tested plenty of them), Blumind have already caught my heart as it helped me reveal my hidden abilities and skills, generate out-of-the-box ideas, and many more. I really appreciate its usability + functionality + simplicity nature. Moreover, it is super portable!
Currently, I am working on my Editorial article and design for the incoming release of our campus newspaper in college and Blumind is the one that assisted me on generating creative workflows and wireframes for this publication.
I am looking forward for your incoming version of this excellent portable, mindmapping app! And, I am very happy that my searching for other mindmapping software ends now.

dragging empty area to scroll? but there is a problem. It’s reserved for selection function. mouse down in empty area and drag a rectangle selection box, and objects in the box will be select when mouse up. so that’s the reason for two mode(Select/Scroll). about the keyboard shortcuts, the “Ctrl” key is used for multi-selection, maybe the “shift” can be use, or middle mouse button?
“Add Note” cannot produce another paragraph using “Enter” button. It just run horizontally like a tooltip. Can you please fix this? This is a great portable app and I would like to add other features that are not available in this software ^_^
I’m using Blumind 1.3 portable. I created a chart (logic right) and was changing some of the properties when the chart suddenly shrank to a small size and the text in all the nodes disappeared. I cannot seem to recover from this, can you explain what might have happened? Despite this issue I think Blumind has a lot of potential. Thanks.

能否弄一个布局，允许 任意2个节点连接，而所有连接所在位置都是自由摆放的。
这种情况下，使用概念图，或者系统思考里的循环图。。。

思维导图比较适合对已有知识的分解。
Personalbrain的理念和那个连接的文章比较相像。
能否添加一个用户登陆密码 和 老板键 功能 ，就完美了。

节点位置应该可以调整，现在都是自适应横屏，但对于竖式页面打印就不够友好了

I am looking for the keyboard shortcuts to move items up and down in a list.
On an xp machine you seem to be able to do this with Ctrl-arrow key but it doesn’t work on my windows 7 machine.
Is it possible to make this work on a windows 7 laptop?

（1）注释功能，不是当前的这种注释，是在文字框外添加注释；
（2）自动编号；
（3）可以拖动调整下级标题的位置。如现在有5个子集标题，则会自动放置到左侧3个，右侧2个，可以手动调整到右侧3个这样的简单移动。
Bug汇报，如果利用右侧的属性框去修改节点的属性，将无法被撤销。
在对两个或两个以上节点归纳到一点的时候，很难在当前版本中表现出来。如果节点不仅能发散，也能汇合，那就更好了。
如果能随意的把子节点设置为中心节点（在此期间也能顺利切换根节点为中心节点）, 并隐藏子节点的父节点, 这样就能节省屏幕空间去显示更多子节点的内容，更专注某个子节点的发展变化。

老大，很喜欢你做的这个软件，再报告一些问题，希望越做越好。1.本地化做的不完善，简体中文版中，连object和ask之类的都没有翻译2.在使用URL地址插入图标时，选中添加到我的图标库也并不能添加，我用的Windows7+安装版。
另外加一点新发现的问题，在全屏模式下查看备注，鼠标移动到备注标志上时一闪即过，没办法仔细查看
